The Spice Spoon
What the heck is a spice spoon? I hear you ask. If you store your spices in tall jars like us they come in really handy. Plus look at those curves.
Mugs
Do you really need another mug? Of course you do. Especially a lovingly handcrafted one like this.
Our tableware is thrown on a potter’s wheel with a buff stoneware clay, which contains Shropshire & South Staffordshire Fire Clays with a fine graded dust free grogg. Most tableware is fired at 1260c in an eco electric kiln. Some special editions are gas fired.
Our wooden utensils and boards are crafted using a variety of techniques. We work with seasoned wood, opting for a smooth sanded finish while preserving the unique marks of hand carving wherever possible—because every piece tells its own story.
No trees are ever cut down specifically for our products. Instead, we rescue wood destined for chipping or burning. Much of our material comes from tree surgeons, including fruit trees that are retired after no longer bearing fruit. By giving this wood a second life, we create pieces that are as sustainable as they are beautiful.
We are two home bakers who started this website to share our love of baking with others. We are still passionate bakers and share recipes when we can. But much of our time is now dedicated to our passion for ceramics and wood carving.
